System Requirements 
------------------- 
Note: Java runtime environment (JVM) is required to run Gene-X.

Operating System: 

Windows 9x and above 

Java Version: Java 1.4.0 or higher. 

Instructions for running Gene-X
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 
1. Click on the binary.zip under Gene X.
2. Save the "binary.zip", file on your computer when prompted. 
3. Once the download is complete go to the folder in which you saved the "binary.zip" file.
4. Extract the contents of “binary.zip”.
5. Open the folder in which you extracted the contents.
6. You will find "run".
8. Double-click the "run" file which is a batch file.
  
Reporting bugs, etc.

If you have installation questions or need help troubleshooting the Gene-X, Submit your bug reports to: mgx@cs.umb.edu 

When reporting bugs, please include the following in your email 

- Subject: Bug
- include your system type
- version number of this software (which can be obtained by clicking 'Help' menu, then 'About GeneX' submenu).
- how to repeat the bug
- a log of the error messages (if any) reported by the underlying OS
