- Pradeep succeeded in finding an installer
for MGX on MS Windows. He demonstrated its use with the recently
released alpha versions of all three applications--GeneX, Protex and
VGL.
- Professor Bolker installed the
applications, and tested Protex.
- Although he was annoyed that the MGX
team did not have the installer ready as part of the alpha release
(last week), Professor Bolker stated that he is otherwise satisfied
with the rate of team progress.
- During the coming month, Professor
Bolker would like the MGX team to concentrate on stability (esp. of
Protex) and documentation.
- Professor Bolker agreed that he will
make the GeneXplorer project part of the MGX project on SourceForge.com.
- Students discussed the bug lists at
SourcForge.com. All bugs should be added to the existing bug
lists. That is, add bugs to
- The MGX Bugs list for Protex.
- The GeneXplorer Bugs list for GeneX.
- The Virtual Genetics Lab Bugs list for
VGL.
