Discussion: |
- Students reviewed the following list of
bugs in Protex, which Professor White would like to see addressed for
Protex. The highest priority item (as per Professor White's comments)
is listed first.
- History move. There is a bug that occurs
sometimes when you move a
folded polypeptide into one of the work panels. The polypeptide will
not move into a work panel because it "thinks" that it is still in that
work panel.
- Drag and drop. Restore click-on (or
double click-on) feature for
moving an amino acid into an input palette. There is also a
bug--sometimes the amino acid dragged is not the same one that is
dropped.
- Thumbnail in History. Try to fit the
entire folded protein into its
thumbnail portrait.
- Folding feedback. Provide feedback to
user while system is
folding the protein. Possibly put the folding task into its own thread,
and display a message dialog box.
- Clear output canvas palette. Any change
in the input palette
contents clears the output canvas palette. That way the user will
remember that he has changed the amino acid chain in the input palette.
- Redundant folding. Replace the ouput
canvas palette with an
image when an item is moved from the History into a work panel. The
image is already generated. By using it, we can avoid making the user
wait while the protein folds again.
- To assist the next team working on MGX,
the students considered options for
- Cleaning up the directory structure in
CVS.
- Preparing the final help documents.
- Editing the final testing documents
(XML).
